ESL Classes for Women
Our All You Need Is Love – English as a Second Language (ESL) Program for Women Mission is in its third year of sharing God’s love in our community. Our program is always seeking warm-hearted ladies to join our volunteer teaching team. You do not need to be a trained teacher or speak another language – just bring a warm heart, a little time and dedication. Please spread the word, we would truly love to welcome members and non-members to volunteer. Cornerstone regularly participates in meal packaging events for Rise Against Hunger in their movement to end hunger.
Food Security
Cornerstone maintains a First Fruits Community Garden and our little red wagon to collect food for our friends at the Western Wake Crisis Ministry and Raleigh Rescue Mission. We also enjoy group service at the Food Bank in Raleigh
Habitat for Humanity
Each year local presbyterian churches come together to work with Habitat for Humanity to build a new home for a family in the greater Raleigh area. Cornerstone is an active participant in these builds. We want to encourage you to participate. We will have information in the narthex when builds are taking place, but each participant, 16 years old and older, must sign-up with Habitat. Stitch Together
Do you like to Knit or Crochet? Stitch Together meets the first, third, and fifth Fridays of each month from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Come join us as we knit and crochet shawls, baby hats, and blankets to be donated to Wake Med. Beginners always welcome.
Angel Tree
Each year Cornerstone partners with New Horizon Church to provide Christmas gifts for boys and girls who might not receive anything.
